Setting ISDN BRI WAN Port Parameters

The WAN port Settings – ISDN screen allows you to set parameters for the ISDN BRI
WAN port. The screen is only displayed if a WAN module is installed.

Figure 29 - WAN Port Settings – ISDN screen (SPID disabled)

The WAN Port Settings – ISDN screen defines parameters for the WAN port and for the
BRI line.

Port Number

– displays the number of the port you are configuring. This is a read-only

field.

Enabled

– allows you to disable and enable this port. If you disable this port, you will not

be able to make or receive calls through the Gateway. This port is enabled by default.

DCE/DTE

– displays whether the WAN module is a DCE or a DTE module. This is a read-

only field.

Phys. STD

– displays the type of line connected to this WAN port. This is a read-only field.

Country

– allows you to select the country where the ISDN service is installed. Currently

supported values are

Europe,

US, Japan, Taiwan

and

Other

.

Signaling Prot.

– allows you to determine the signaling protocol used to setup and tear

down the calls through the signaling (D) channel. The signaling protocols available depend
on the value you select from the

Country

drop down list.
