Using the L2W-323 Gateway

Dialing Directly to an Endpoint on the LAN

If you know the phone number of the LAN endpoint you want to reach, you can dial
directly.

To dial directly to a LAN endpoint when the Gateway supports MSN

•

Dial the destination endpoint phone number. The call is routed to the requested
endpoint according to its registration identity in the Gatekeeper Zone Definition Table.

Example:

5645001

To dial directly to a LAN endpoint when the Gateway supports TCS4 (and does not
support MSN)

•

Dial one of the Gateway’s phone numbers, a delimiter if required by the terminal that
you are dialing from, and the extension number of the requested endpoint.

Example:

5645000 ^ 5776

Where 5645000 is one of the Gateway phone numbers, ^ is the delimiter and 5776 is the
extension number of the requested endpoint. The dialing endpoint must also support TCS4.

Note: Only H.320 video calls are routed via TCS4.

Dialing through the IVR

The Gateway allows you to reach a specific endpoint on the LAN through the Interactive
Voice Response (IVR) routing mechanism.

To dial to an endpoint on the LAN through the IVR

1. Dial one of the Gateway phone numbers. When IVR is enabled, you will be answered

by a recorded message prompting you to enter the destination endpoint phone number
followed by the pound (#) sign.

2. Enter the phone number. If you have entered the number of an endpoint that is online

and currently not busy, the IVR connects the call to the requested endpoint.
