Editing the Default IVR Message
The IVR Recording Utility allows you to edit the default IVR message. You can replace any
one or all of the four recordings that form the IVR message. Replacing the default IVR
message involves three steps:

Create new recording files to replace the default recordings.

Replace the default recording files with the new recordings.

Create a new IVR message file (IvrMessageFls.fls), composed of the new recordings
and save it to the Gateway.
You can edit the default IVR message from the Express Setup option or the Admin menu.
Replacing the IVR Message Using the Express Setup
Using the Express Setup option, the IVR Recording utility guides you through this process
step by step.
Creating New Recording Files
The Express Setup guides you through the recording procedure step-by-step. You can record
an alternative recording for each recording, or you can choose to leave one or more of the
default recordings unchanged. The total duration of the recordings should not exceed a
maximum of 120 seconds.
If you choose to create a recording, the IVR Recording Utility automatically starts the
Microsoft Sound Recorder. For information on how to create a recording with the Microsoft
Sound Recorder refer to its on-line help.
The original recording files are not overwritten, unless you save the new files under the
same filenames. If you do not want to overwrite the original recordings, we recommended
you create backups of the original *.wav and *.fls files on your hard disk. The original
*.wav and *.fls files are saved in the RvIvr directory.

To create a new recording
1. Select Express Setup from the IVR Recording Utility main screen. The Express Setup
window is displayed.
