These could cause an erroneous result
.
If however the same tramline rhythm and/or
pre-start are always used, it can in fact be a
good idea to maintain the normal settings of
the machine.
This however is not recommended
.
(d) do not change the seed rate during the
measurement.
(e)The measurement is carried out over
an area of 1 ha, though any area can be
selected. In this case the values determined
must be converted according to the area
selected.
In the following example, compensation is
carried out using the following values:
Seed type
winter wheat
kg/rev
0.430
seed rate
200 kg/ha
selected area
2 ha
About 500kg of seed should be weighed out.
Set the metering devices, and fill the
machine. Select winter wheat and calibrate
as exactly as possible (see 3.2.3).
Before sowing, check again that the sowing
quantity is correctly shown as 200 kg/ha on
the ‘Main’ function screen
(fig. 42)
.
If not, set the quantity on the ‘RATE’ screen
to deviation 0. Set the part area counter
‘PART’ to 0 (see 3.5.2).
Now sow 2 ha of land.
The current area sown can be displayed at
any time on the
‘INFO’ – ‘PART’
screen,
even during sowing.
Cease sowing after exactly 2.00 ha. Remove
and weigh the excess seed from the hopper.
Subtract this value from that of the filled
quantity (500kg).
Assume that 84 kg are left over. Therefore
(500-84) = 416kg were used. Divide this
by 2, as 2 ha was the area chosen for
measurement.
416/2 =
208kg
This is the value (ACTUAL WORK WEIGHT)
to be used for the subsequent adjustment.
Move to Seed Type Selection (3.2.2).
The following display appears (
fig. 43
) with
the current seed type:
