a) Sowing rate in kg/ha or K/m2
The seed rate can be displayed either
in
kg/ha
or in
K/m2
. If the
K/m2
option (grains per square metre) is
used, a correct entry for the
TGW
(weight per 1000 grains) is important for
each seed type.
If
kg/ha
is used, it does not matter if the
TGW value is incorrect, as the program
ignores the TGW, and instead works with
the filled weight of the metering wheel cells.
In this case, the current standard values for
small or normal seeds can be left as they
are.
Change the setting as follows: in the display
bring the marker arrow to the first line, and
select ”
RATE
”
with the right/left arrow keys
<S4>, <S5>
. If this screen is exited with
<ESC>
, all further displays of quantity by
the control system are in
K/m2.
b) Rate step change on the ”RATE”
screen <R>
Using the
”RATE”
function screen
,
the seed
rate
(fig. 39)
can be modified at any point
in the run (see 3.4.1).
The rate step for this can be preset.
To do this, move the marker arrow to the
STEP
line and set the desired percentage
value using the right/left arrow keys
<S4>,
<S5> (fig. 40)
. Values between 1% and
50% are possible. Exit this screen with
<ESC>
to save the selected value.
c) Seed library
The characteristics dependent on the seed
type and needed to calculate and control
the seed rate exactly are stored in the seed
library of the job computer.
Note: a small amount of careful work in
maintaining the seed library will save a lot
of work in calibrating, and a lot of money
through exact, optimized sowing.
In order to display the seed library, move
the marker arrow to the
EDIT NAMES
line
and press
<ENTER>
. A total of 16 seed
types are available for entry (
A-P
).
Three standard seed types have already
been set up by the manufacturer.
A
-winter wheat,
B
-winter barley,
C
-oilseed
rape.
The entries for these standard types may
however be modified.
(Note that these modifications are lost
after a reset.)
Use the <*> key to move between entries
A-D, E-H, I-L, and M-P.
