Now move the marker arrow to the
line
‘NUDGE CAL. FACTOR
’ and press
<ENTER>.
Next enter the expected value for 1 ha, in
our example 200 kg (
fig. 44
).
Confirm the value with <ENTER>.
The actual amount used is now requested:
Now enter the previously calculated value
(208 in the current example).
Complete the entry by pressing
<ENTER>
.
The control system now displays a sowing
error due to mechanical effects, and asks
whether it should compensate for the
current seed type. The following display
appears (
fig. 45
):
In the measurement in the example, there
has therefore been 4% too much used.
Press
<ENTER>
now to confirm the value.
The display changes back to the seed type
selection, and displays the current seed
type.
Note the value for ‘
kg/rev
’ in
fig.

compared with
fig. 47
:
The value has now been automatically
corrected for the current seed type. This
measurement is not absolutely necessary,
as the errors which occur are relatively
small. Even during the calibration test, the
difference will be difficult to ascertain.
It is however sensible to use the
measurement over long runs, where the
seed hopper needs to be filled several times,
and where significant deviations in the feed
(flow behaviour) over large areas, caused by
the mechanical effect of the seed type, are
observed in comparison to the calibration
test.
