Detailed descriptions of the shimming and positioning procedures,
including the ZOOM mode, are described on the following pages.
Also available in the MOVE mode are XY VIEW, H and V ZOOM and
SAVE, described in detail on the following pages.

The AVERAGE function, set in XY VIEW screen, is automatically used
during Move measurements. With this option, the number of mea-
surements to be taken and averaged during readjustment can be set
(up to 2048), see page 4-44. A bar appears in the left corner of the
screen (see above figure) displaying the fraction of measurements
made.

Note, while in MOVE mode, sleep time is automatically extended to
50,000 seconds. This helps to ensure that the ROTALIGN will not
enter SLEEP mode while the machines are being repositioned.

After making the desired adjustments, press the STOP softkey to
return to main MOVE screen.

ZOOM

The two options available in the ZOOM mode allow you to focus in
on either the vertical (V ZOOM) or horizontal (H ZOOM) axis. These
options display an enlarged view of one axis and are useful for fine
tuning the alignment corrections. (The computer continues to moni-
tor in the other direction not displayed.) Tolerance limits are also
displayed in ZOOM mode if set. Press BOTH to display horizontal and
vertical results simultaneously.

Tolerance limits are set with the OPTION key as summarized in the
previous Results section and in detail on page 4-57. In the above
example, the angle is within tolerance, and the offset is just out of
tolerance.
