7. Measurement

Once the laser beam is adjusted, the alignment can be measured.
There are several measurement modes to choose from, the default
being "Continuous Sweep." This is the standard and simplest method
for measuring alignment, whereby the shaft is rotated and a series of
measurements are automatically made during rotation. The various
measurement modes are described in detail starting on page 4-34.

Note: now is a convenient point to check "soft foot," if suspected.
Press the SOFT FOOT softkey, located second from right to enter the
A thorough description of the Soft Foot function is described on the
following page. When finished, press "OK" and continue with
alignment.
