FASTCAM-ultima APX-i2 Hardware Manual

2.2.7. MCDL / RS422 Cable

The APX has connectivity with Photron MCDL (Multi-Channel Data Link) unit (optional).

The waveform data output (up to 4 channels of analog data and up to 6 channels of

digital data) from MCDL is sampled and recorded together with image data.

The RS422 port is an interface to control the APX using RS422 communication

protocol.

The MCDL and RS422 signal lines are combined into one composite cable, whose

details are shown below:
