NOISE AND EMISSION CONTROL

steps to replace the DEF supply pump
filter:

1.

Turn off the vehicle and allow the
vehicle to cool down. Take special
precaution with hot exhaust piping.

WARNING!

The exhaust piping can become ex-
tremely hot during engine operation
and can cause personal injury includ-
ing serious burns to the skin. Allow
adequate cooling time before work-
ing near any part of the exhaust sys-
tem.

2.

Remove the pump protective plate
mounted on the bottom of the DEF
tank.

3.

Using a 27 mm socket wrench
(DIN3124), remove the filter cap
that is screwed to the DEF Supply
pump.
