mDSL Port Information window
•
receiveClk(2)
•
notavailable(50)
The remote modem’s internal oscillator is indicated by intClk(0).
If extClk(1), the remote modem is deriving its clock from the DTE side of the modem connection.
On the other hand, receiveClk(2) uses the recovered receive clock from the modem line for use as receive clock
and transmit clock. Consequently, the transmit and receive clocks are the same clock.
Unit User ID (Local Status) (userIDMdsl)
This is the Circuit ID on the main mDSL Port Configuration window.
Unit User ID (Remote Status) (remoteUserIDMdsl)
The unit user ID for the remote modem can be configured after the mDSL link is in the dataSync state. Maxi-
mum length is 8 octets (characters).
Remote Unit Software Version (Remote Status) (remoteSoftwareVersionMdsl)
Displays the software version which is currently in the remote modem.
Remote Unit DTE Test Mode (Remote Status) (remoteDTETestModeMdsl)
This parameter displays whether a Local Loopback may be initiated or not from the DTE interface. The
parameters are:
•
enabled(0)
•
disabled(1)
•
notavailable(50).
•
If enabled(0), the remote modem is able to initiate a local Loopback via the DTE interface. If disabled(1), it
cannot.
The notavailable(50) parameter normally appears when the 3095’s modem is in the idle state or if there is no
line connection between the modems.
Remote Unit TX Edge (Remote Status) (remoteTXEdgeMdsl)
The sampling point of Transmit Data is controlled here. The options are:
•
normal(0)
•
inverted(1)
•
notavailable(50)
In the normal(0) state, Transmit Data is sampled on the falling edge of the Transmit Clock. Transmit Data is
sampled on the rising edge of the Transmit Clock when inverted(1) is selected.
Set Factory Default Configuration button
Clicking on the
Set Factory Default Configuration
button returns the values of the mDSL modem port to
the parameters listed in Table 5 on page 72.
