Under each WAN port column group are four columns nameed Slot, Device, Port #, and Slot #, which are
defined in the following sections.
Slot (daxWANConnectionID)
Slot
refers to the time slot in the T1/E1 port. Whether you have chosen T1 or E1, all 31 channels will be dis-
played although in T1, only those numbered 1–24 are applicable.
Device (daxWANxDeviceType) where x is a number from 0 to 15.
Device (daxWAN0DeviceType, daxWAN1DeviceType, …,daxWAN15DeviceType) refers to the device type
to which the WAN slot connects. The device type options are:
•
open(0)
•
t1-e1(1)
•
mDSL(3)
Port # (daxWANxDeviceNumber) where x is a number from 0 to 15.
Port #
(
daxWAN0DeviceNumber
,
daxWAN1DeviceNumber
,
daxWAN2DeviceNumber
,
daxWAN3DeviceNumber
) refers to the port number of the Device Type in the second sub-column. For Device
Types of mDSL, the Device Number (Port #) may be from
port1(1)
to
port24(24)
. Since there are only four
WAN ports, the Device Number (Port #) may be chosen from
port1(1)
to
port4(4)
.
The number “x” may be from 0 to 15 because there are 16 t1/e1 WAN ports and 16 mDSL modem ports.
Slot # (daxWANxDeviceSlot) where x is a number from 1 to 31.
Slot #
(
daxWAN0DeviceSlot
,
daxWAN1DeviceSlot
,
daxWAN2DeviceSlot
,
daxWAN3DeviceSlot
) refers to the slot
number (or time slot) of the Device. For mDSL Device Types,
Slot#
may be either
1
,
2,
or
3
. For t1-e1 Device
Types,
Slot#
may vary from
1
to
31
.
