7-2-12 Replacement of cable
If the cable connecting the head and controller is broken because of the usage conditions and installation environment, it
needs to be replaced.

• To ensure the ingress protection (IP64) of the head, install the attached connector cover to the cable. Refer to “Installing
connector cover to cable” (P.48).
7-3 Obtaining Backup Data
Obtain and keep a backup of data registered in the laser marker periodically using the Laser Marker NAVI smart in case of
replacing laser markers for repairing and maintaining purposes.

Steps for obtaining backup data (daily maintenance)
1.
Establish an online connection between your PC and the laser marking system.
2.
Go to the “Data management” screen and select “Backup” in the ribbon.
3.
Specify the name and storage destination for a backup file.
Select “Save” to save the backup file.
