2-3-5 Detaching / attaching the fiber unit
The fiber unit of this product can be removed from the head at the installation temporarily.
At the delivery state, the fiber unit is connected to the head.

• The fiber cable cannot be removed from the controller side. Trying to disconnect the controller unit from the fiber cable
forcibly may cause a failure.
• It is recommended to connect the head and controller that have the identical serial numbers.
• The ingress protection characteristics of the head are ensured only when the fiber unit is mounted properly. Read this
chapter thoroughly for correct removal and installation.
• When the fiber unit is removed and re-installed, the lasing position might be misaligned relative to the guide laser
radiation position. To align the lasing position, calibrate the marking field with following the procedures described in the
“Laser Marker NAVI smart Operation Manual”.

Working conditions
WARNING
• Before the detaching or attaching the fiber unit, turn off the power supply and
disconnect the AC power cable. There is a risk of exposure to the laser beam
or electrical shock.
• Avoid oil mist, dust and dirt when removing or installing the fiber unit.

• Hexagon wrench (ball point, M5, L=150 mm)
• Scanner unit protection cover (Attached accessory)
• M5 screws (Attached accessories)
• Clean plastic bag as a protection cover of the fiber unit
• O-ring for fiber unit (Optional item)
• Air duster for optics
