Setting the Security Alarm When Sleeping at Home

Shortening the Alarm Delay Time Using the Handset of the Door Phone

Make sure to set the alarm on the base unit.

Set the security alarm on the base unit and go out from the Unit Entrance

Go out from the Unit Entrance within the alarm delay time. (    Page 97)

By performing the following operation on the handset of the door phone, you can immediately set the security 
alarm for the front door and windows before the alarm delay time has elapsed.

Note

If the security alarm cannot be set, the security alarm lamp 
on the handset of the door phone flashes in red.

Note

Press and hold down the Call button on the 
handset of the door phone for 2 seconds or more

The alarm indicator lamp on the handset of the door phone lights in red for 
approximately 10 seconds and the security alarm is immediately set. It is 
possible to play the message or the notification sound from the handset of the 
door phone when setting the security alarm. 
(    External Security Door Phone Sound setting (pages 61, 63 and 64).

Close and lock the front door and windows 
to which the magnet switches are installed

Press the MENU button in the standby 
status (nothing is displayed on the screen)

Touch Home Mode or Sleeping Mode 
in Living Mode

* If the security setting is not set to "ON", it is not possible 

to activate the security alarm. (See      pages 19-20)

The message "Security has been turned on." appears and 
the alarm setting is enabled immediately for the windows and 
60 seconds later for the front door. factory default setting)

Make sure to completely close and lock the windows 
and front door before setting the security alarm. 

●

If the security alarm is set when a window or unit door (with 
a magnet switch installed) left open, short beeps are 
generated from the base unit and extension speakers, and 
the alarm lamp flashes in green. If the window or front door 
is closed and locked at this point, the security alarm is set. 

●

Due to magnet’s specification, the security alarm may be 
set without completely closing the front door or windows. 
Make sure to completely close and lock the front door 
and windows before setting the security alarm.
