If the instrument’s cooler was not already turned on, it starts automatically when the Sleuth application is
launched. This feature is in line with Sleuth’s goal of making the system foolproof in operation. A unit that is
set up to automatically launch Sleuth upon power-up will automatically turn the cooler on when its powered
up.
Once data is collected, a USB flash drive can be inserted into the unit and the “Export to USB Flash” button
will copy all files to the USB flash drive. The USB flash drive can then be removed, and data can be transferred
to Reachback facilities for analysis. Note that this action does not remove the original copies of the data file
from internal memory unless specifically requested.
Upon startup of Sleuth (and shutdown to exit back to the Launcher screen), the system will check to see if
any data is present in the Sleuth data storage folder stored in internal memory. If data is present, a message
will be displayed asking the user if it is desired to delete all Sleuth data (see Figure 96).

If the user selects Yes , an additional message will be displayed confirming the
choice. Selecting Yes a second time deletes all data in the Sleuth application.
If the user selects No , the system moves on to the Sleuth home screen.
