Install a Power Supply

“Returning a Server to Operation” on page 235

Install a Power Supply

Installing a power supply is a hot-swap operation. You do not need to power off the server

before installing the power supply.

1.

If you are replacing a faulty power supply, remove the faulty component.

See 

“Remove a Power Supply” on page 134

.

2.

Align the power supply to the location where it installs into the server.

The PDB connector is toward the server, and the release tab is on the right.

3.

Slide the power supply into the server until the power supply seats, and the

release tab clicks.
