Monthly Maintenance
Check and clean the Chiller unit air filter and condenser fins (seen in Figure 5-11) as needed
by vacuuming. This may be done more or less often depending on the conditions in the
shop.
Check and clean the Electrical Cabinet A/C filter. This may be done more or less often
depending on the conditions in the shop.
9.4
Semi-Annual Maintenance
Check the machine tram and re-tram if necessary. See Section 10.1.
Replace the lower spindle rotary union (see Section 9.6)
9.5
Yearly Maintenance
Drain and replace the chiller fluid with approximately 4 gallons of 30% Ethylene Glycol and
70% Distilled Water; OptiPro recommends DOWTHERM SR-1. Allow the chiller to run for 2
minutes and top-off as additional fluid is taken up by the chiller loop; repeat as needed until
the tank level is full and stable.
Replace Air Prep Regulator filter element (Found in the Utility Control Panel, Section 5.3)
and check the filter bowl for cracks.
Replace Air Prep Mist Separator filter element (Found in the Utility Control Panel, Section
5.3) and check the filter bowl for cracks.
Replace the upper spindle rotary union which can be accessed by removing the front cover
of the upper spindle.
9.6
Replacing the Lower Rotary Union
To access and replace the c-axis rotary union:
Remove the rear c-axis cover.
