z Setting the Contrast
If the picture displayed on the PT screen is too bright or dark, contrast adjustment is required.
Contrast adjustment is usually performed using one of the following procedures.
•
Select Video Configuration from the Special Screen Tab Page in the System Menu. (Refer
to Video Configuration under 2-20 Special Functions in the NS-series Programmable Ter-
minals Programming Manual .)

Select the Contrast Adjustment function for Command Buttons. (Refer to Command But-
tons under 2-9 Buttons in the NS-series Programmable Terminals Programming Manual ).
If the contrast is not improved using the above methods, change the contrast with the Video
Board’s contrast adjustor using the following method.
Turn the contrast adjustor gradually using a small screwdriver while checking the picture dis-
played on the PT screen.
If turning the contrast adjustor too much, the image may be distorted. Turn the contrast ad-
justor in the opposite direction to remove the noise.
