Symptoms at
PT
Cause Possible countermeasure
Indicators do
not light. The system
program is cor-
rupted (fatal error). The PT may be faulty. Contact your nearest OMRON repre-
sentative.
The system
program is
corrupted (fatal
error). The PT may be faulty. Contact your nearest OMRON repre-
sentative. The indicator
is lit orange
and the screen
is blank.
The Memory Card
cannot be recog-
nized. • Use a Memory Card specified by OMRON. (Refer to 3-6
Using Memory Cards .)
• If you can confirm that the NS-series PT is operating nor-
mally after the Memory Card has been removed from the
PT, there may be a failure in the Memory Card. Replace
the Memory Card before using the PT.
The system pro-
gram is corrupted
(non-fatal error).
The combination of
NS-series PT
hardware and sys-
tem program ver-
sion is incorrect. Recovery/update the system program. (Refer to 3-6 Using
Memory Cards .)
Contact your nearest OMRON representative if the same
problem occurs after recovering/updating the system pro-
gram.
The indicator
is lit green and
the screen is
blank.
In the following
cases, project data
was downloaded
without clearing the
log data saved in
the NS.
• A project was
downloaded to the
NS-series PT in
which settings
related to history,
such as alarm/
event or data log
settings, have
been changed.
• An attempt was
made to download
a project that was
different from the
project saved in
the NS.
Download the project data again. When downloading the
project data again, be sure to clear the log data saved in the
NS.
The indicator
is flashing
green and the
buzzer repeat-
edly turns ON
and OFF. The backlight has
malfunctioned. The backlight must be replaced. Contact your nearest
OMRON representative.
The screen is
blank and the
indicator is
flashing green. Automatic upload/
download has
ended normally. This is not an error. Turn OFF all the DIP switch pins and
turn ON the power to the PT again.
