9. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance includes all cleaning, lubricating,
greasing and tuning operations that need to be carried
out regularly at fixed intervals to ensure that the machine
operates correctly and that the safety devices installed on
the equipment are in perfect working order.
All those operations not mentioned below are considered
extraordinary operations, which may only be carried out by
the manufacturer.
The operator must ensure that routine maintenance of
the equipment is carried out within the intervention times
indicated as follows.
Your attention is also drawn to the importance of the
periodic check to be made on your equipment, annual
check (see Periodic check report).
!
WARNING:
The maintenance operations
described below must be carried out by
technical personal specialized in the specific
sectors of mechanics and hydraulics.
Cleaning and maintenance operations must be
carried out in safe conditions: before starting
any operation on the equipment, check that the
hydraulic plant is not under pressure and that
no load is on the cradle.
The times indicated below are conditioned
by various factors, such as environmental
conditions (presence of dust), intense
use, frequent temperature changes, etc. In
such cases, these times should be reduced
accordingly.
To ensure that the machine operates correctly and
efficiently, follow the instructions below.
Every day:
• Always keep the hydraulic lifting equipment and all its
components clean.
• Clean and check on the correct working of lowering
device.
• Before using the hydraulic lifting equipment, check its
general conditions making sure there are no hydraulic
oil leaks.
• Check correct physical and functioning state of the
movement wheels.
Every months:
• Keep the wheel pins constantly clean and lubricated.
Annually (Oil top up):
If the rod and the support device (cradle) do not reach the
declared height, top up the oil and use only hydraulic oil
type "AGIP ACER 22" or similar and proceed as follows:
• Completely lower the rod to rest position.
• Unscrew the pierced lid situated on the tank chamber
(1 Fig. 7).
• Refill with clean oil up to the correct level (Fig. 7).
• Re-screw the previously removed lid on the tank
chamber.
Every 5 years:
Change the oil in the hydraulic pump tank and use only
hydraulic oil type "AGIP ACER 22" or similar.
Quantity of necessary oil: 0,8 litres
After inserting a container for collecting the used oil:
• Fully lower the rod to rest position.
• Unscrew the pierced lid situated on the tank chamber
(1 Fig. 7).
• Remove the oil from the load plug (1 Fig. 7) using a
suitable suction pump.
• Insert clean oil until the correct level is reached (Fig.
7).
• Re-screw the previously removed lid on the tank
chamber.
The used oil, once removed, must be taken
to the special collection points and disposed
of according to the regulations in force in the
country of use: do not pollute the environment
with it!
