3. GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
!
WARNING:
It is compulsory to comply with the general safety and prevention regulations listed below:
persons not complying with the requirements in this manual may harm themselves and/or harm or damage
persons, animals or things.
THE MACHINE MAY ONLY BE USED:
• The machine may only be used by responsible staff in
good health who have been specially trained to use
the equipment and are acquainted with all the risks.
• The equipment can only be used by operators
and users who have fully read and understood the
instructions and information in the booklet.
• The machine may only be used inside closed rooms
that are free from atmospheric agents: snow, rain and
wind, etc.
• The equipment, including the traverse, can only be
used by one operator at a time; it is forbidden for
more than one person to use the equipment at the
same time.
IT IS COMPULSORY:
• It is compulsory to check that the floor where the
hydraulic equipment operates is free of objects, is
clean, horizontal, level and able to support the load of
the equipment weight and the element loaded on the
equipment. The part of the floor where you intend to
operate the equipment must be free of slits, openings
or drains where the wheels of the equipment could
get stuck or caught.
• It is compulsory, before operating the equipment,
to make sure it is completely intact and functions
perfectly; on the contrary, it is forbidden to use the
equipment.
• It is compulsory to check that the installed safety
devices are in perfect working order before operating
the equipment: it is forbidden to operate the machine
if it is faulty.
• Before operating with the equipment, it is compulsory
to check that the operating area is sufficiently
illuminated (sufficiently illuminated area but not
subject to glare or intense light).
• It is compulsory to check that the load to be
supported is resting fully on the cradle.
• Before operating with the equipment, it is compulsory
to make sure there are no objects, materials or
pieces that may hinder the movement of the wheels
of the hydraulic equipment. No traces of oil or other
liquids must be present that may make the floor
slippery.
• Before operating, it is compulsory to make sure that
the area where the hydraulic equipment will operate
is free of obstacles that may hinder movements not
only of the equipment but of the load with regard to its
dimensions.
• It is compulsory to check that there are no hazardous
conditions for persons at risk during operation. If
there are, stop any operations underway immediately
and keep people away.
• Before moving the equipment with its load, it is
compulsory to identify the simplest and safest route,
in order to reduce direction changes to a minimum.
• When moving the equipment while it is loaded, it
is compulsory to proceed slowly, even in straight
sections, slowing down opportunely during direction
changes and making sure that one of the wheels
does not get caught. If one gets caught, stop
movement immediately and find the reason: in the
event of defects or failures, interrupt operations and
remove the load with an appropriate lifting device with
the proper characteristics.
• In the event of irregular or anomalous sounds, it is
compulsory to stop all operations immediately and
find the cause of the anomaly. If in doubt, avoid any
improper operations and contact the manufacturer’s
technical service centre.
• It is compulsory to park the equipment on a flat
surface that does not allow any unwanted movement
when it is being used. The parking place must be
suited to prevent deterioration and unauthorised use
of the equipment.
• Before operating with the equipment, it is compulsory
to check that the wheels of the vehicle, to which the
mechanical unit belongs, are blocked and that the
parking brake is inserted.
• It is compulsory to operate the equipment only when
it is resting perfectly on all four wheels.
IT IS FORBIDDEN:
• It is forbidden to use the equipment improperly or
incorrectly; it should be used exclusively for the
purpose described in paragraph: 2. Specific use page
6.
• It is forbidden to climb onto or remain on the support
elements of the equipment or to use same equipment
for transporting oneself.
• The equipment must never be used if the room
temperature is below 5°C or over 40°C.
• It is forbidden to cause the load to swing during use.
• It is forbidden to proceed so as to cause the load to
swing during the movement phases with loads.
• It is forbidden to move if the cradle has not been
completely lowered.
• It is forbidden to move the equipment using transport
means or devices: the equipment must be moved
manually using the provided handles.
• It is forbidden to remove protections, safety signals or
tamper with safety devices installed on the equipment.
This violates European standards on safety. The
pictogram and labels must always be kept legible and
intact.
