CAUTION
To prevent the ink dried inside the print head’s nozzles:
- Do not leave the Printer with the carriage detached from the capping unit.
- Within 5 minutes, complete the capping unit’s cleaning operation and cap the print head.
Press the
key.
The carriage moves.
The Printer issues an audio warning beep.

Open the front cover and then open the
capping cover.

Spittoon unit
Knob screw
Remove the knob screw of the spittoon unit
and remove the spittoon unit.
CAUTION
- The spittoon unit contains cleaning liquid. Be
careful not to spill it.

Soak the cleaning swab in the cap cleaning
liquid.
TIP
- To prevent the cap cleaning liquid
contaminated, in the cap cleaning liquid bottle
do not soak the cleaning swab after you clean
with it.
- The cleaning swab is intended for a single
use only. Use a new cleaning swab for each
cleaning.
