How to Setup a Printer Flood Fill
Prepare a Printer Flood Fill
With the Printer Flood Fill approach, white ink is set up as a layer that is
embedded in the print job. Varnish is simply selected and printed as a top
coat on the printed image.
Purpose
The Printer Flood Fill mode allows you to print an image with a varnish fill
top coat or a white flood fill as an underlay or an overlay. The edges of the
image bounding box (the outer perimeter of the image) will determine the
extent of the flood fill area.
When to do
This approach is used when an image is rectangular in shape and requires
a white or varnish flood fill. The printer itself provides the flood fill rather
than the ONYX Spot Layer Tool or an image editing application, so no
additional data preparation is required.
NOTE
If jobs are nested in the ONYX software, white or varnish is printed
between jobs when you use this technique because the outer extent of
the entire nested job is used to define the flood area.
