Manual for Multichannel Ultrasonic Pile Integrity Tester

2) Remain the test system and test parameters unchanged in 

test; 

3)   Concrete in test area shall be clean and smooth, use 

grinding wheel to rub down or high strength fast setting 
mortar to trowel the surface if necessary.    Troweled 
mortar must cohere well with concrete. 

4) High frequency transducer shall be selected if the 

conditions for reading precision for head wave amplitude 
have been satisfied. 

5) Transducer shall keep close contact with concrete test 

surface through couplant, no silt or air is allowed in 
coupling layer.    

6) Transmission pathway of ultrasonic parallel to 

reinforcement bar axis nearby shall be avoided in test, if 
not, the shortest distance between connection line of two 
transducers and this reinforcement bar shall not be less than 
1/6 distance in ultrasonic test. 

7) Find out the reason for any suspected data in test, double 

check, verify or retest with more test points if necessary. 

2. Test preparation 

1) Power on instrument, select “uncompacted area and 

cavitations test” in startup interface to enter into ultrasonic 
defect detection test;
