8.5 Removing the protective window at the beam exit

Requirement

•

The protective window is contaminated or damaged.

Tools

•

Optics spanner wrench or alternatively this tool from the spare parts list:

•

Pair of cotton gloves

•

Lens cleaning paper

Procedure

1. Cover the place where the optics shall be temporarily placed on with lens

cleaning paper.

2. Loosen the suction cup retainer ring by 2 turns, but do not remove it yet.
