PRECESSION ELEPHANT 2 Scan Head 2
b.
“Drill” a hole with diameter A and measure it.
c. If necessary correct the scan field; see subsection
on page
d.
“Drill” a hole with diameter A and measure it.
All settings should be correct now in order t
o “drill” holes of good quality.
7. Attach the side panels to the scan head.
The scan head is optically set up now.
8. Optionally test the drilling result with the jobs
HoleOvalExit.jobx
,
HoleOvalEntry.jobx
,
TaperNegative.jobx
,
TaperPositive.jobx
and
TaperZero.jobx
which can be found in the
Jobs\PrecessionElephant 1.3 and 2.0
folder of the
InScript Installation
.
9. Proceed with subsection
on page
6.7.7 Adjusting the laser beam to circular polarization
TIP
Perform this procedure only when testing the settings, as described in subsection
and if the
hole’s entr
y is round, but its exit is elliptical.
The laser beam’s polarization can be set by 2 levers at the respective unit inside the scan
head.
In order to measure the polarization and thus to set it, we recommend a polarization
meter, e. g. Glan Thompson. Use the polarization meter according to the respective
manual.
Tools
•
Laser safety glasses appropriate to the laser in use
•
Hexagon socket screw key, AF 1.5 mm
•
Glan-Thompson polarization meter
Requirement
•
The nozzle including the protective glass has to be mounted to the scan head.
