10 Decommissioning and removing from

the machine

Procedure

1. Switch or turn off :

a.  Electrical power
b.  Process gas and purge gas supplies
c.  Cooling water supply

NOTICE

Voltage peaks and leakage currents, when hot plugging the power supply,
destroy the scan head electronics.

•

Before connecting the power supply to the scan head or disconnecting it

from the scan head, ensure that no voltage is being applied to the
connecting cable.

Disconnect at the scan head:

a. Electrical lines
b. Gas lines; see also section

5.6

on page

c. Cooling water lines; see also section

5.5

on page

It is not necessary to drain the scan head from the remaining cooling
water. The couplings are self-sealing.
