Unload Grain From the Center Sump
1. Disengage the Power Sweep gearbox (Push Power
Sweep Engagement Lever towards discharge outlet to
disengage Power Sweep).

1. STOP the motor.
2. Lift up the "Power Sweep Locking Lever".
3. To engage the "Power Sweep" push the
"Power Sweep Engagement Lever" in
towards the bin.
4. Turn the pulley by hand (The motor must
be stopped) and listen for the gearbox to
"CLICK" into gear.
5. To Disengage the "Power Sweep" pull the
"Power Sweep Engagement Lever" out
towards the discharge spout.
6. Engage "Power Sweep Locking Lever".

2. Close all Discharge Slide Gates (center, and intermediate
sumps).

3. Start the electric motor.
4. The Rack & Pinion gate controls are set so the Center
Hopper Sump gate must be opened first. Read the in
-
struction decal under the controls and open the gates in
the sequence specified. Failure to follow this sequence
could result in severe damage to the grain bin structure.
When starting to unload, open the center sump slightly.
Ensure that grain flows out of the discharge end at a
ALWAYS LOAD AND UNLOAD FROM THE CENTER OF THE GRAIN BIN
• The center hopper gate must be opened first to empty the grain bin.
• Only when grain stops flowing from the center hopper can the intermediate hopper gates
can be opened.
Failure to comply could result in structural damage, serious injury,
or death.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1 - Open center hopper gate first, unload until grain flow stops. Only when NO grain remains
above the center hopper can the intermediate hopper gate(s) be opened.
STEP 2 - Open the intermediate hopper gate(s) until grain flow stops.
STEP 3 - Stop the motor, engage the bin sweep gearbox lever to remove the remaining grain.
STEP 4 - Close all hopper gates and empty the remaining grain from the u-trough.
STEP 5 - Stop the motor, disengage bin sweep gearbox lever, return bin sweep over the hoppers.
STEP 6 - The grain bin is now ready to be refilled.
5. Continue to open the center sump and watch for constant
product flow at the discharge outlet. Do this until center
sump is fully open.
6. For the first 30 minutes, check that the underfloor auger
flighting functions without excessive vibration. Once the
grain mass has been fully drawn down, you are now ready
to proceed with unloading grain from the intermediate
sumps.
