Step 3: Place rotor in case until it contacts the first wiper.
Place a hose clamp, 1, over the first wiper and seal.
Snug hose clamp sufficiently to compress wiper but do
not over-tighten. Lightly tap rotor with a soft mallet and
wooden block until it slides over seal and wiper. Repeat
for remaining seals until rotor is seated against case.
NOTE: There is insufficient room for the last seal and
wiper. Lightly tap rotor with soft mallet and wooden block
to install over last seal and wiper.
Step 4: Install internal snap ring, 1, in rotor groove.
Installation
Step 1: Apply a bead of pipe sealant around the top
surface of the swivel assembly. Attach swivel
assembly, 1, to mounting plate, 2, with bolts, 3. Orient
case so upper port boss, 4, is on the left. Torque bolts to
54 Nm (40 Ib-ft).
Step 2:
Be sure guide rods, 1, are in holes, 2, in circle.
Use safety glasses and
adequate protection when
installing snap ring. The
snap ring may fly off and
injury may occur.
