9-8 Upgrading Your Server

Hard Disk Drive

The disk interface, number and size of hard disk drives depend on server model, as described below.
The IDs of hard disk drive (channel numbers or port numbers) are also predefined.

3.5-inch Disk Model

Up to two 3.5-inch SATA hard disk drives can be installed in 3.5-inch model server.

Install servers in slot 0, then slot 1 in the order.

IMPORTANT:

Use the hard disk drives authorized by NEC. Installing

a third-party hard disk drive may cause a failure of the server as well as
the hard disk drive.
