9-8 Upgrading Your Server

Installation

Follow the procedure as described below to install a hard disk drive.

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.

Locate the slot in which you are going to install a hard disk drive.

The server has three slots. Install hard disk drives starting from the leftmost slot.

Remove the dummy tray.

Dummy trays are installed in all the hard disk drive bays.

IMPORTANT:

Keep the dummy block for future use.

Install a hard disk drive tray to the vacant slot of the cage to keep
the cooling effect of the server.

Unlock the handle of the hard disk drive carrier.
