Insert the disk to set dual configuration into the slot 1 of PCI module 11, and perform
the procedure 2.
If a HDD is already mounted, this procedure is not necessary. Perform the procedure 2 only.
IMPORTANT:
As to the disks to insert, ensure to use new ones or physically formatted ones
with the same capacity as the synchronization source disk. If you use other
disks, dual configuration is not set properly.
As to the physical format, refer to “SAS BIOS

System Configuration” in the separate volume of the User’s Guide, and perform Format Disk
with Disk Utilities.
Before performing a physical HDD formatting, go to [Server]

[Monitoring Configuration]
and [Option ROM Scan Monitoring] as [Disabled] on the BIOS setup utility.. For how to
configure the settings, see “System BIOS

” in Chapter 4, “System Configuration”
in the separate volume of the User’s Guide.

Right-click the Slot 1 of
the PCI module 11 from
the left pane of RDR Utility,
and then click [Add
Physical Disk To RDR
Virtual Disk].

Click [OK].
