Removing the Paper Feed Motor

Motor

Note:

Order the paper feed motor kit if you are replacing the paper feed motor. The kit

contains the paper feed motor, two washers, and two screws. See the Parts Information
Manual for more information about the kit.

1.

Remove the two screws and washers holding the paper feed motor.

2.

Remove the paper feed motor from the print mechanism.

Replacing the Paper Feed Motor

Caution:

Do not place a high-speed paper feed motor in a low-speed printer. Likewise, do

not place a low-speed paper feed motor in a high-speed printer. Low-speed and high-
speed motors look the same, but they are not interchangeable. Be sure to use the correct
replacement motor.

Order the paper feed motor kit if you are replacing the paper feed motor. The kit contains
the paper feed motor, two washers, and two screws. See the Parts Information Manual for
more information about the kit.

1.

Replace the paper feed motor by placing its gear through the mounting hole in the left
side of the printer mechanism.

It should mesh with the gears on the outer edge.

2.

Replace the two mounting screws and washers.
