Screw Terminal Accessories
National Instr
u
ments offers several styles of screw terminal connector
blocks. Use an SHC68-68-EPM shielded cable to connect an X Series
device to a connector block, s
u
ch as the following:
•
CB-68LP and CB-68LPR
—Unshielded connector blocks
•
SCC-68
—I/O connector block with screw terminals, general
breadboard area, b
u
s terminals, and fo

les
•
SCB-68
—Shielded connector block with temperat

re sensor
•
TBX-68
—DIN rail-mo

•
TB-2706

PXI Express devices
Yo
u
can
u
se one screw terminal accessory with the signals on either
connector of yo
u
r X Series device. Yo
u
can
u
se two screw terminal
accessories with one X Series device by
u
sing both connectors.
RTSI Cables
Use RTSI b
u
s cables to connect timing and synchronization signals among
PCI/PCI Express devices, s
u
ch as X Series, M Series, CAN, and other
meas
u
rement, vision, and motion devices. Since PXI devices
u
se PXI
backplane signals for timing and synchronization, no cables are req
u
ired.
Cables
In most applications, yo
u
can
u
se the following cables:
•
SHC68-68-EPM
2
—High-performance shielded cable designed for
M/X Series devices. It has individ

al b

digital signals. Each differential analog inp

t channel is ro

ted on an
individ
u
ally shielded twisted pair of wires. Analog o
u
tp

•
SHC68-68
—Lower-cost shielded cable with 34 twisted pairs of wire
•
RC68-68
—Highly-flexible

NI recommends that yo
u
u
se the SHC68-68-EPM cable; however, an SHC68-68-EP cable will work with X Series devices.
