ISO International Standard [ ISO 9001 ] for quality assurance
Conformity to Standards
Requirements for conformity to the LVD
Type : Tension controller (open type equipment)
Target product : LE-30CTN manufactured in September, 2009 or later
Cautions on conformity to EC Directives - - - - - - Refer to Chapter 13 for details.
1) Installation inside a control box
The LE-30CTN is open type equipment, and should be installed inside a control box.
Install the LE-30CTN inside a shielded conductive control box(*1), and connect electrically between the
control box main body and the control box door.
Installation inside a control box is highly effective not only to assure safety but also shield noise
generated from the LE-30CTN.
(*1) We recommend a control box in conformity to the EMC Directive.
2) Cautions on connection of tension detector and actuator
The LE-30CTN has analog inputs and outputs, and is sensitive to noise. It should be handled and
installed carefully.
Cables offered as accessories of the tension detector (sensor) cannot give sufficient shielding effect by
themselves. Perform electromagnetic shielding using a dedicated shielded cable or conduit (pipe).
When connecting the LE-30CTN to an actuator such as powder clutch/brake, hysteresis clutch/brake,
AC servo amplifier and vector inverter, make sure to perform electromagnetic shielding using a
dedicated shielded cable or conduit (pipe).
Connect a cable to the control box using a dedicated connector and grounding ring. In addition, perform
grounding at 100
Ω
or less to the cable shield from the grounding ring by way of the bus bar inside the
control box.
In grounding, use a shielded cable different from a grounding cable for the servo amplifier or inverter.
ISO International Standard [ ISO 9001 ] for quality assurance
Himeji Works of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation acquired certification of the ISO International Standard [ISO
9001] for quality assurance in June, 1994 for the first time in the industry for its series of activities for
development and manufacturing from order acceptance to shipment.
In the ISO 9001 Series which specifies the standards for the quality assurance system, the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) postulates a wide-range quality assurance system covering
development, manufacturing, materials, quality and marketing in [ISO 9001].
Users can safely use tension controllers manufactured by Himeji Works using a management system in
conformity to the international quality assurance system.
Himeji Works is registered in the environmental management system "ISO 14001" in March, 1998
(Registration number: EC97J1234, date of registration: March 24, 1998).

a proper control box which meets the conditions
specified in the EN61010-1:2001 2nd.
