1. Ensure that the communication
server is disconnected from the
power supply.
2. Remove the housing cover.
3. Connect the earthing wire on the
ground terminal of the bottom plate.
4. Assemble interface cards (if any):
– Fit interface cards into the
IC1...IC4 slots.
– Fit the corresponding wiring
adapters into the WA1...WA4
sockets. Consider the imprint on
the adapters for the plug-in orien-
tation.
5. Assemble DSP modules if any:
– Fit the DSP modules into the cor-
responding slot on the mainboard.
– A maximum of three DSP modules can be stacked.
6. Fit the housing cover.
7. Connect the LAN cable to the
Eth0
LAN interface on the front panel.
Note
It is important to use the
Eth0
interface, as the other LAN interfaces wont work.
8. Connect the power adapter to the socket on the front panel and to the power supply
(100...240 VAC / 48...62 Hz).
When the start-up is finished the SMB Controller runs in normal operating mode.
The PWR LED lights up (green) and the SYS LED is blinking slowly (green). DHCP
is switched on by default. Note that the MiVoice Office 400 application is not loaded
yet.

Put into operation
Search for the communication server in the IP network
1. Connect your computer to the IP network ensuring that your computer is in the
same subnet as the SMB Controller.
