2.5.1.3 Adjusting Dual-joint Head Plate

As Figure 2-37 shows, hold the dual-joint head plate with both hands (palms up) and pull

the release bracket (1) outward with fingers.

Raise or lower the dual-joint head plate to the desired position.

Release the dual-joint head plate and the bracket.

Pull the dual-joint head plate to check whether it has been adjusted properly.

Pull the release button (3) with one hand and raise or lower the upper plate (4) to the

desired position with the other hand.

Release the upper plate (4) and the release button (3).

When lowering the dual-joint head plate, be sure to do it slowly and

smoothly. Do not hurt the patient.



Make sure the dual-joint head plate is reliably installed before using it.
