1.5 Fundamental Safety Instructions
1.5.1 Instructions against Personal Injury

The operating table is to be used for its intended purposes only. Do not use
it for other purposes.

The operating table is to be installed by personnel authorized by Nanjing
Mindray only.

The operating table is to be operated by trained personnel only. Be sure to
archive the training records.

Before using the operating table, be sure to read and fully understand this
manual.

Be sure to keep the manual at a place nearby the operating table.

Do not put any objects on the operating table base. Any objects left on the
operating table base will damage the cladding as it moves.

Before unlocking the castors, grasp the operating table. Otherwise, it can
move unexpectedly.

Before locking the operating table, be sure to observe that there are neither
the operator’s feet nor any objects underneath the base. Otherwise, it can
cause personal injury or property damage.

Before lowering the table top, be sure to observe that there are neither the
operator’s feet nor any objects on the base cover (underneath the column).
Otherwise, it may get pinched or crushed.

The operating table can only be adjusted when it is locked. If not, only the
trendelenburg position / reverse trendelenburg position can be used in
emergencies.

When moving the operating table, do not press the override panel keys,
since this will cause several functions to be activated simultaneously and
result in the risk of personal injury or property damage.

Before positioning the patient, make sure the patient’s body width is no
greater than the width of the table top. Otherwise, the table width extender is
recommended.

Be sure to secure the patient before moving/adjusting the operating table,
when a patient lying on the operating table.
