For ink

Ink type

For this machine, the following four types of ink can be used:

Precautions in handling the ink

Acidic dye ink

Suitable for fabric of animal type such as wool, silk, etc. and nylon (scheduled)

Reaction dye ink

Suitable for fabric of wool, silk, etc. as well as cotton, rayon, etc.

Sublimation dye ink

Suitable for fabric of polyester, acrylic, etc.

Disperse dye ink

Suitable for fabric of polyester, acrylic, etc. (scheduled)

Textile pigment ink

Use for cotton. For after-treatment, it can be fixed with heat press.

• Whichever ink you use, be sure to perform pre-treatment and after-treatment that our company

recommends to the fabric to be printed.

• Use textile pigment ink at a humidity of 40% to 60%.

• Use Mimaki’s genuine ink. Troubles occurred from using other than Mimaki’s genuine ink shall be pay

remedies even in the warranty period.

• Using ink other than dedicated may cause troubles. For remedies when using ink other than

dedicated, the customer shall be borne the cost.

• Do not refill ink in the ink pack. It may cause troubles. In addition, our company shall not hold

responsible for faulty caused from refilling ink.

• Do not touch or stain the contact of the cartridge PCB, as this may cause failure of the PCB.
• Request the treatment of used ink pack for industrial waste disposal contractor.

• Do not shake the ink pack violently. Shaking or turning it roughly can cause leakage of ink.
• Open the ink pack just before attaching. In addition, be sure to use within six months from opening the

ink pack. After opening and long time has passed, the print quality will decline.

• Be sure to store the ink packs in a cold and dark place.
• Discard the empty ink pack in compliance with regulation in the local area.
• Do not use expired ink packs. The expiration date is printed on the ink pack.
• Textile pigment ink is easy to dry. If it is dried, nozzle missing or deflection tends to occur. When using

it in low humidity environment, it is recommended to set “Setting of cleaning before printing” (

P.3-

14) to ON and to set the length be 3m or below for “Setting of cleaning while printing” (

P.3-15).

• Paste the attached tackiness title on the relative ink station cover part in order not to mess up the

color arrangement of eco case set in each ink station.
