Setting of media dryness feed using MAIN heater
The dryness feed is the function to dehydrate the part that was not dehydrated by the heater from the position
where printing had been completed to the MAIN heater.
When this function is “ON”, the machine performs feeding automatically to dehydrate media by the length set in
advance after printing has been completed.

Press the key in LOCAL.

Press to select [MACHINE SETUP].

Press to select [Dryness Feed].

• Selection screen of ON/OFF of the dryness feed is displayed.

Select dryness feed “ON” by pressing or .
• When you selected “OFF”, proceed to the Step 1.
• When next printing data is received at the completion of printing, dryness feed is not performed.
• For dryness feed, to gain the same dryness result as printing, feeding speed becomes slower
compared with that when feeding media with the jog key.
• After dryness feed ends, there are blank data by the length set in Step 12, "feed length". Media can be
rewinded by pressing the jog key, but media remains sticking on the belt, and it may get into the lower
side of the belt.
• Also, in the case you rewind the media, the media at the feeding unit side bends. Check whether
enough tension is applied before printing.
