The rules for concrete pouring

For walls higher than
4.00 m observe the values in
Table M350-10.1 or Table M350-
10.2 depending on the type of
anchoring material.

According to DIN 4235,
concrete should be placed in
layers whose thickness can vary
from 0.50 to 1.00 m.
Æ
Concrete must not be
placed above heights of 1.50 m
(or higher) in free fall.
Æ
When vibrating the
concrete, which is done layer
by layer, the vibrator must not
penetrate more than 50 cm into
the layer below.
Æ
A final vibrating step over
the overall concrete height is
not recommended. It does not
provide any advantage, since
concrete that has been vibrated
once cannot be compacted
further. This may result in water
bubbles (shrinkage cavities) on
the concrete surface.
