CONFIGURING THE ATM CBR DSU

5. 3 WAN port set-up menu

The physical set-up of both ports is done using this menu. Pressing the

WAN PORT SET-

menu item leads to a screen that lists the port types fitted to the, and permits the required

interface to be selected.

Figure 5.16 WAN port set-up screen

The menu screen for the interface selected then appears. Examples are shown below:

Note that for SDH/Sonet interfaces the DSU automatically detects and displays the interface
physical characteristics for both fibre and copper media options.

The DSU set-up screens display only the appropriate set-up options for the interface
detected in the DSU.

Sections 9 to 16 of this manual give set-up details and specifications for each type of port
available on the ATM CBR DSU.
