CONFIGURING THE ATM CBR DSU

5. 4 ATM set-up menu

Layer 2 configuration is achieved with the

ATM SET-UP

menu. Configuration of Layer 2

operation is performed on a per-port basis.

On selecting the menu item

ATM SET-UP

from the

MAIN SET-UP

menu, a screen appears

which permits the required interface to be selected.

Figure 5.18 ATM set-up screen

The menu screen for the interface selected then appears. The ATM UNI (WAN) port must
be set-up for ATM operation. The CBR port must be identified to the ATM port by setting the
VPI and VCI values. The default values are 0 (zero).

To set-up the ATM UNI port, the user must complete the screen menu options to specify the
ATM set-up required, as summarised in the table below:
