When leaving the vehicle, always take
the key with you and lock the vehicle.

Never leave children and animals unat‐
tended in the vehicle.

Keep the vehicle key out of reach of
children.

WARNING Risk of fatal injury due to
exposure to extreme heat or cold in the
vehicle
If people –particularly children – are exposed
to extreme temperatures over an extended
period of time, there is a risk of serious or
even fatal injury!

Never leave anyone – particularly chil‐
dren – unattended in the vehicle.
#
Never leave animals in the vehicle unat‐
tended.
Locking and unlocking manually
You can use the central locking buttons to cen‐
trally lock and unlock the entire vehicle from the
inside.
#
To lock/unlock the entire vehicle: press
button

(unlock) or
2
(lock) when the
doors are closed.
Switching the automatic locking feature on or
off
When the ignition is switched on and the vehicle
is driving at a speed above 15 km/h, the vehicle
locks automatically.
There is a danger of being locked out when the
function is activated in the following situations:
R
when tow-starting or pushing the vehicle
R
on the roller dynamometer

When the doors are closed, switch on the
power supply or ignition.

To switch on: press and hold button

for
approximately five seconds.
An acoustic signal sounds.

To switch off: press and hold button
1
for
approximately five seconds.
An acoustic signal sounds.
Unlocking/locking the driver's door with the
emergency key element

If you want to lock the vehicle completely
with the emergency key element, press the
button for the locking mechanism from inside
first with the driver's door open. Then lock
the driver's door with the emergency key ele‐
ment.
