If there is evidence of high EGT following engine shut down, follow the
dry run procedure as described below.

to 35%, advise maintenance before further flights. This vibration
may indicate that possible damage to the flexbeam has occurred.
NOTE
: Check that compressor decelerates freely. Abnormal noise or rapid run down
(rapid loss of N

) may indicate turbine blade rubbing.

Rotor brake :
F F Raise brake handle to release from stowed position
F F Rotate handle clockwise and apply brake by pulling
down on handle until handle locks aft.

Care should be taken while applying the rotor brake if the helicopter
is parked on a slippery or icy surface. Anti–torque control is
minimized at less than normal operating RPM when the engine is
not driving the rotor system. Full control of the helicopter during
these conditions may be limited.
