Engine General Information and Diagnosis: Bi-Fuel LPG model 1A-54

Wiring Diagram

Refer to “DTC P0182 / P0183”: Bi-Fuel LPG model.

DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Turn ignition switch to ON position and keep it for 10 sec.

Go to Step 2.

Go to “Engine and
Emission Control
System Check”: Bi-Fuel
LPG model.

LPG pressure sensor power supply circuit check

1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position and then disconnect

connector from LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor.

2) Check for proper terminal connection to LPG pressure-

and-temperature sensor.

3) If connection is OK, turn ignition switch to ON position.
4) Check that voltage between LPG pressure sensor power

supply circuit (A1) and vehicle body ground is approx. 5
V.

Is it in good condition?

Go to Step 4.

Go to Step 3.

LPG pressure sensor power supply circuit check

1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position and then disconnect

connectors from LPG control module.

2) Check for proper terminal connection to LPG control

module connectors.

3) If connections are OK, check that LPG pressure sensor

power supply circuit (A1) is as follows.
• Wiring harness resistance of LPG pressure sensor

power supply circuit is less than 1

Ω

• Insulation resistance LPG pressure sensor power

supply circuit between LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor connector and vehicle body
ground is infinity.

• Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity

between LPG pressure sensor power supply circuit
terminal and each terminal at LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor connector.

• Voltage of LPG pressure sensor power supply circuit

is 0 – 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.

Are they in good condition?

Substitute a known-
good LPG control
module and recheck.

Repair or replace LPG
pressure sensor power
supply circuit.

LPG pressure-and-temperature sensor ground circuit
check

1) Measure resistance between LPG pressure-and-

temperature sensor ground circuit (C1) and vehicle body
ground.

Is resistance 1

Ω

or less?

Go to Step 5.

Repair or replace LPG
pressure-and-
temperature sensor
ground circuit.
