1G-21 Fuel System: LPG

d) Check that shut-off valve (1) actuate with click 

sound when battery voltage is conducted. If 
check result is not satisfactory, replace LPG tank 
valve.

LPG Tank with Tank Valve Removal and 
Installation

AENAR90A1706027

WARNING

!

 

LPG tank should be installed or removed by 2 
or more persons. Otherwise LPG tank can 
drop and it cause personal injury, because 
LPG tank is very heavy.

 

Removal

1) Relieve LPG pressure in LPG fuel feed line. 

)

2) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
3) Remove LPG tank cover top (11) after removing their 

two bolts (13)

4) Disconnect LPG solenoid and electronic fuel 

indicator connectors.

5) Remove LPG fuel pipe No.1. 

)

 and service line 

connections.

6) Remove LPG filler valve pipe connected to tank 

valve.

7) Remove bolts (10) anchoring the LPG tank on frame.
8) Remove LPG tank (9) with tank valve (8) from the 

frame (4).

Installation

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the 
following.

1) Tighten LPG fuel pipe No.1 to specified torque.

Tightening torque
LPG fuel pipe nut (a):  13 N·m (1.3 kgf-m, 9.6 lbf-
ft)

2) Tighten Bolt Bracket LPG tank to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Bolt Bracket (a):  45 N·m (4.5 kgf-m, 33.19/ lbf-ft)

3) Install LPG fuel pipe No.1.

4) Connect negative (–) cable to battery.
5) Check for LPG fuel leaks.
