Bi-Fuel LPG System Component Description

AENAR90A1101009

LPG Control Module

LPG control module controls the fuel system as follows, 
based on the signals from ECM and sensors related to 
LPG system.

Fuel injection control

ECM and LPG control module judge the fuel system 
depending on the signal from fuel select switch. 
Therefore, LPG control module switches built-in three 
fuel control relays and controls petrol fuel injector or LPG 
fuel injector.

LPG shut off valve power supply control

LPG control module drives LPG valve control relay for 
power supply to shut off valve of LPG tank valve and 
shut off valve of LPG pressure regulator.

LPG shut off valve control

During “Forced LPG MODE” or LPG control in “AUTO 
MODE”, LPG control module opens shut off valve of 
LPG tank valve and shut off valve of LPG pressure 
regulator to supply LPG fuel, and closes them during 
“Petrol MODE” or petrol control in “AUTO MODE”.

Indicator control

• LPG control module calculates remaining LPG in LPG 

tank based on LPG level sensor signal, and then 
indicates the remaining LPG by LPG indicator on fuel 
select switch.

• LPG control module selects fuel system based on 

signal from fuel select switch and ECM, and then 
indicates selected fuel system by petrol / LPG 
indicator on fuel select switch.

• LPG warning light lights up or blinks when LPG 

control module detects malfunction related to bi-fuel 
LPG system.
