The repair methods given by the manufacturer in this document are based on the technical specifications, current at the time of release. The methods may be modified as a result of changes introduced by

Power Train Assembly and Plate Assembly -

  

 

 

•

 

Set the counter shaft and output shaft 
properly before assembly. 

•

 

Apply grease to pilot bearing. 

•

 

Insert 4

th

 gear brass ring to MD gear. 

 

Make sure that output shaft and MD gear are 
free to rotate. 

 

•

 

Keep intermediate plate over counter and 
output shaft. 

•

 

Assemble the reverse driven and idler gear. 

 

Check and ensure that circlip is not having axial 
play.  

 

 

 

•

 

Check dimple mark on 1st-2nd shift rail 
before using it for assembly.  

Refer illustration. 

 

•

 

Apply loctite on Front & Rear housing joint 
Face with Loctite robo 7192. 

 

 

 

 

•

 

If retainer plate bolt torque missed then it will lead to gearbox seizure. 

•

 

If circlip having axial play then while running circlip may come out in field leading to gear 
seizure. 

 

Shift Rail and Shift Fork Fitment -

 

 

 
 

 

•

 

Ensure that reverse driven gear is placed 
properly before inserting 1

st

 & 2

nd

 gear fork. 

•

 

Put grease before placing interlock plunger 
into 3

rd

 & 4

th

 rail. 

•

 

Put fork and then insert 1

st

/2

nd

 rail; put ball 

and then insert 3

rd

/4

th

 rail. 

•

 

Press the 1

st

/2

nd

 split pin, make sure that 

1

st

/2

nd

 split pin is not fouling to the 3

rd

/4

th

 

rail. 

•

 

Ensure that 1

st

/2

nd

 split pin should flash with 

boss. 

•

 

Ensure that both pins are pressed, then 
insert the plunger. 

•

 

Insert 5

th

/reverse synchro assembly and 

5

th

/reverse fork with reverse sliding gear.
